Oregon’s best peace party and Oregon PeaceWorks’ largest fund raiser is the annual Give Peace a Dance extravaganza, now scheduled for April 17 at the First Congregational Church of Salem, 700 Marion St. NE. from 6-11 p.m.
This year’s event features:
•   Rockin’ rhythm and blues dance music by Kate Sullivan and Company, returning to Give Peace a Dance as this year’s headliner.
•   The hilarious political satire of OPW’s own Dr. Atomic’s Medicine Show, making fun of what needs to be made fun of.
•   Delicious complementary appetizers and desserts.
•   Silent and oral auctions featuring thrilling experiences, excellent items and art treasures. Share in the excitement, take home a bargain and enjoy the laughter.
•   No host bar.
This 26th annual Give Peace a Dance will celebrate the 40th anniversary of Earth Day and promote OPW’s 5% Solution to the Climate Crisis as well as OPW’s other programs.
Admission is $15 per person in advance, $18 at the door and all proceeds benefit OPW’s project work. Call 503-585-2767 to order tickets by phone or purchase them securely online at www.oregonpeaceworks.org. (Please note that the location has changed this year — see above.)
