In the immediate future, other wealthy nations could step up to fill the funding gap left by the Trump administration. Longer term, the United Nations and its agencies could be provided with an independent source of income, thereby ending their dependence on the whims of individual nations―especially those nations directed by people so fantastically wealthy that they lack any comprehension of hunger and its effects. Until remedial action is taken, however, world hunger and starvation will continue as a disgrace to humanity.
