Oregon PeaceWorks is delighted to once again have a staff person working on its 5% Solution to the Climate Crisis program. Leonard Perez joins OPW as a participant in the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) — a project funded by stimulus money and administered by Easter Seals of Oregon, which is aimed a retraining workers over 55 for jobs they have not done before.
One of Leonard’s major responsibilities will be to schedule 5% Solution presentations for community groups, churches and house parties. Please welcome him by calling 503.585.2767 and helping him arrange a 5% Solution presentation for your group, church or personal house party (you open your home to your friends and neighbors; we bring the program).
The 5% Solution to the Climate Crisis promotes personal involvement in addressing global heating by seeking your individual commitment to cut your carbon footprint by 5% a year and by asking you to become an “emissionary” for the cause.
