Letter to the Editor

By Dianne Rushcamp, Wilsonville, OR

I know authors think that if we read the PeaceWorker we will know what they are talking about when they use acronyms, but that is not always the case.

When action is requested, a short explanation of what it is about is helpful.  And please take the time to spell acronyms out the first time you use them in an article.

The whole point, as Peter once taught me about organizing, is to educate while bringing people together around an issue we all can relate to. Assuming that people know what one is talking about means losing the interest of those who do not. Let’s not forget to take the opportunity to educate while taking action. Then we can all become stewards of a cause.

Thank you, Peter, for all you do in the name of peace!
